Today’s song is Love My Way by the Psychedelic Furs. I made everyone listen to this song a few times on New Years Eve. No, no. Nothing creepy about that.

Well, I’m back from the unannounced holiday break. Mimsy should be writing again shortly. It’s been raining in all day here in Los Angeles, so here is my bad weather tri-tip recipe. Usually I like to hot-smoke this kind of meat, but that isn’t always feasible when it rains.

Click “READ MORE AND COMMENT” to see the recipe, below the fold.

Today’s song is Respect and Obey Authority, by X-Treme Power.

Their summer tour will bring them through Cuba, Venezuela and North Korea, and culminate with a concert for the Dear Leader at the Ryugyong Hotel.

How to make your HTC Incredible play that dramatic Law and Order sound when you receive a text message

I wondered exactly that.

First, download the sound, which is here.

Download it, and put it somewhere easy to find.

Next, dock your phone to your computer so you can browse its folders. This means you need to select “mount as disk drive” when you plug it into your computer.

Next, open “My computer.” There will be two folders that you can access for your phone. One is the storage space in your phone, the other is the removable Micro SD card. The card is usually the second of the folders to appear. For me, it shows up as the N:\ drive. Open the folder to N:\media\audio\notifications, and drag the mp3 into it. Undock your phone, and go to Settings/Sound/Notification sound, where you can select it.
